Application & Entrance Exam
Applications for Admission to San Carlos School are completed online. A non-refundable application fee of $125 (includes testing appointment) will be required through FACTS Financial online application process.

Enrollment Age:
- Transitional Kindergarten applicants must be four (4) years old by April 1 of the year of entrance.
- Students applying for Kindergarten must be five (5) years old by September 1 of the year of entrance.
- Students entering Grade 1 must be six (6) years old by September 1 of the year of entrance.
Online Application: The Application will consist of general questions as well as a request for recommendations from previous teachers. Applications will not be considered until the online application is complete and all recommendations are submitted by requested teachers. Applicants at all grade levels will be asked to take an entrance exam administered by San Carlos School and families will be contacted to schedule a testing appointment once the application is complete.
Admission Testing: Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students will complete a TK/Kindergarten skills & school readiness assessment. The Grades 1 through 8 exams evaluate math skills, vocabulary, oral reading, writing, and reading comprehension.
Admission Status: After the applicant's file is complete and the entrance exam is scored, families will be notified by mail of the school’s decision regarding acceptance. In acceptance of new students, preference is given to siblings of currently enrolled students and siblings and children of San Carlos School graduates.
Enrollment/Reenrollment Fee: Families will complete the San Carlos School Financial Agreement through FACTS with a non-refundable Enrollment Fee to secure their child's place in the program each year. Immunization certificates will be required for all students entering school prior to attending. All students of San Carlos School will be required to present documentation of the following immunizations being current: Polio, DTP/DtaP, MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B series.
