Mission

San Carlos School, as a ministry of San Carlos Cathedral, provides a high-quality Catholic education for students in

grades TK - 8.

Philosophy

San Carlos School (SCS) is a Catholic TK-8 school in the Diocese of Monterey that teaches traditional Catholic beliefs and welcomes diverse families. We partner with parents, the first educators, to nurture students' holistic development, celebrate diversity, and help them reach their full potential.

We prepare students for modern challenges with high academic standards. Our curriculum fosters morally centered problem solvers, critical thinkers, and confident leaders, emphasizing organization and study skills. Faculty integrate faith into all subjects and offer worship opportunities, recognizing outstanding achievements and community involvement.

Student success depends on the partnership between families, faculty, and the Church. We encourage community service, leadership, and reflection, modeling Gospel teachings and valuing diversity.
